10 Best Benefits & Usage of Vitamin E Oil for Skin & Hair - Home Remedies

You all must have read about the antioxidant property of vitamin E which is great for our skin and hair as it has moisturizing properties and it also removes the free radical. So today I'll be sharing few home remedies to improve our skin & hair texture:

Usage of Vitamin E Oil

1.       To Lightens Dark spots

Vitamin E helps in fading scars as it has antioxidant properties

How to use:

Mix one Vitamin E Oil capsule with few drops of lemon juice and apply it on the affected. Message it for 5 minutes in circular motion. Wait for 30 minutes and wash off with normal water. You can apply it 2-3 times in a week.   

 

2.       To Slow the Ageing Process

Vitamin E Oil works to block free radicals from the body, which play a large part in the aging process. If we can fight off free radicals, then we can reduce wrinkles and keep the skin youthful-looking. It has basic antioxidant properties that everyone needs.

How to use:

Mix vitamin E Oil in your night moisturizer and apply it daily before going to sleep.

3.       For Hair Growth

Vitamin E increases hair growth & can also reduce premature graying as it repairs damaged hair follicles.

How to use:

Add 2 Vitamin E capsules one table spoon of warm Coconut Oil and one table spoon of Olive Oil. Message your scalp and leave it for an hour and then wash off using your normal shampoo. If you want can keep it overnight as well.

4.       To Treat Minor Burns

It can be used to treat minor burns

How to use:

Once the burn has cool down, apply Vitamin E Oil using cotton on the affected area. Repeat this for few weeks.

5.       To Reduce Dark Circles

Vitamin E helps in reducing dark circles if used regularly

How to use:

Mix 2 drops of vitamin E capsule with 2 drops of Almond Oil. Message it under your eyes in circular motion using your ring finger at night. Leave it overnight.

6.       Face Scrub

How to use:

Mix 1 teaspoon of coffee powder and 2 Vitamin E oil capsules and gently scrub your face and wash off with Luke warm Water.

7.       Lip Scrub

How to use:

Mix ½ teaspoon of Honey, ½ teaspoon of Sugar and 1 Vitamin E capsule. Gently scrub your lips for a minute and wash it off with normal water.

8.       Moisturizes the skin

Vitamin E works best for dry skin as it restores the lost moisturizer & rejuvenates the dehydrated skin.

How to use:

Mix vitamin E Oil with your moisturizing lotion and apply it on your body before going to bed.

                                  

9.       Cleanser

Vitamin E is great in removing makeup

How to use:

Mix vitamin E Oil with Coconut Oil\Almond Oil and use it with your fingers in circular motion to remove makeup. Wash your face using your regular face wash.

10. Cuticle Strengthener

How to use:

Apply vitamin E Oil on your nail cuticles directly and massage it for few minutes and remove the access oil using towel.

The Face Shop Real Nature Longan Face Mask Review

As you all know that Nykaa has this offer going on in which you buy 7 mask sheet from The Face Shop and you get 7 mask sheets free, in other words you are paying half the price for these masks. I love sheet masks as these are hassle free and time saving and gives you the feeling of a mini-spa at home. I have used sheet masks from Innisfree before and really loved them so this time I thought of trying sheet masks from The Face Shop and share my experience with you guys. 

So if you guys follow me on Snap chat & Insta then you would know that I was travelling although it was only two days trip however I had a very hectic schedule and on top of that I was not able to sleep for more then 3-4 hours from 3 days hence all this left my skin dull, and dehydrated so I thought what better way to put these masks on use. 

I have bought few different masks from Nykaa because of the ongoing offer.Today, I am going to share my views about The Face Shop Real Nature Longan Face Mask.

What is Longan?

Longan is a tropical tree that produces edible fruit. It is one of the better-known tropical members of the soapberry family, to which the lychee also belongs. It has vitamin B and C so it can fight free radicals, prevent cell damage and improve the appearance of your skin, especially the skin around your eyes.

My Experience with The Face Shop Real Nature Longan Face Mask.

The face mask comes in a nicely sealed black colored plastic pouch and it has a wooden finish to it. All the ingredients & instructions are mentioned at the back of the package in both Korean and English.

How to use:

1. After washing your face arrange your skin texture with toner. 

2. Unfold the mask sheet and spread over face, adjusting from eyes to nose. 

3. After 10-15 minutes, take the mask off and lightly tap the leftover essence for absorption. 

This sheet mask is made of cotton and was nicely soaked in the serum which feels very light on the skin. You might have to adjust it with the help of the small cuts that it has. It says only to keep the face mask on for 10-15 minutes however I kept it for good 30 minutes as I felt my skin needed more hydration. After I removed the mask my skin looked fresh, hydrated and very soft. I used this extra serum after removing the mask to massage my face and neck. The serum felt super smooth and silky in consistency. Over all, I liked this mask and cannot wait to use other mask from The Face Shop which I bought from Nykaa.

How To Do A French Manicure With A Twist @ Home

First of all I'm so sorry guys for not posting for so long however here I am and I'll make sure that from now on I post regularly. 

Every Sunday I change my nail paint so I thought why not share my experience with you guys.When someone says nail art, first thing that comes into my mind is French manicure as nothing can beat a good old french manicure. So I'm going to tell you guys how to do a french manicure with a twist and that too at home. 

P.S. Please ignore my faded Mehendi...

So lets begin...

1. Remove Old Nail Polish:- Dab a cotton pad in your favorite nail polish remover and remove your old nail polish.

2. Give Your Nails a Shape:- Trim your nails and then file them in your desired shape - square, round or oval. French Manicure looks good on long nails so try not not to trim your nail too short. I had recently trimmed my nails very short so while writing this blog they were not of my desired length.

3. Soak your nails:- Take a bowl of Luke warm water and add few drops of lemon. Soak your fingers in it for few minutes. Dry your nails using towel and push back your cuticles using cuticle pusher. Apply Vitamin E oil in your cuticles, remove the access oil using towel.

4. Nail Serum (this step is optional):- Apply a nail serum to your nails before applying your nail polish. Let it dry and them use towel remove any residue. I have applied The One nail serum from Oriflame.

5. Paint your Tips:- If you have a steady hand then you can paint the tip directly on your nails Otherwise you can use nail tip guides like I did. These nail tip guides are easily available on local cosmetics shops.





I had bought these guides in different shapes so that I can have different styles every time I want french manicure as I get bore very easily.

I used these triangle shape as I wanted my Manicure to look different and also because I had short nails. 

Paint your tips using white nail polish of your choice I used ColorBar nail paints for the tip as well as for the top coat.









6. Top Coat:- After your white paint had dried remove the tip guides and apply the top coat and let them dry for 5 minutes and wolla your pretty french manicure is done.

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Review - 08 Baby Pink & 04 Mauve Magic

I have seen so many people raving about Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon so I decided that I gotta try and share my review with you guys.

Out of these 10 I tried 04 Mauve Magic & 08 Baby Pink

Have to tell you that pink doesn't suit me however this shade- 08 Baby Pink, it suits me so perfectly and I have fallen in love with it. 

Enough of the praise, lets get back to the review

Claims:
Contains Jojoba and Olive oil which will nourish your lips and it will also provide smooth & matte finish as it is imbued with mineral powders. It is specially crafted for Indian skin tone and you can choose from 10 different shades. 

Price, Quantity & Packaging:
Rs. 185 for 2,2 gm of lip crayon. 
It looks like color crayon and it also feels like crayon as it has waxy texture. It reminds me of the colors I used to play with, might be that's why they say make your lips your canvas and color it with these crayons😉.
Bast part is that every Lip crayon comes with its own dual sided Sharpener. 
Now I have two Sharpeners so even if I loose one (which is sure to happen knowing that I'm so forgetful) at least I have another one as my savior.

overall I feel these are must buy if you do not want to splurge too much on lip crayons. And they have 10 different shades to choose from as per your choices.

Review - Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment

As you know monsoon is here and as long as I remember I have always been in love with this season. As a kid I used to play in rain, now I have stopped doing that but I still love watching rain and the fragrance of wet sand. Now there is one thing which I don't like about monsoon is that my hair becomes dry & frizzy in this season. Couple of months back one of my friend suggested this Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment as she also has my kinda hair and it made her hair manageable and frizz free.




















So today I'm going to review this oil for you guys:

Conditioning — apply few drops of oil onto damp hair for an instant, lightweight smoothening effect.

My take on it:

This oil comes in a transparent bottle with a pump which makes it easy to use however we need to be careful as it is a glass bottle. It has a runny oil like consistency and is transparent in color. I apply it on my damp hair and it makes my hair smooth and tangle free however, it does not control frizz if applied in dry hair but it does give your hair that glossy shine. It also has a mild sweet fragrance however it disappears after few minutes of application. All in All I'm happy with this Oil. 

Shelf life: 36 months from date of manufacture.

Basic Night Care Routine

Hello my beautiful people, 

I'm back again. Today I would like to share an ideal night time skin care routine which I also swear by. I know after a very hectic day at school, college or office you would not want to follow any skin care routine specially if it has several steps and would like to just clean our face with wet wipes and go to sleep (even I used to do the same). However if you want your skin to be soft and clear you HAVE TO (in capital just to show you the importance, so dramatic of me ;) ) follow a proper skin care routine for day & night. Today we will be talking about the night time skin care routine. I will not be sharing the products I use as they might not suit every skin type. 
So without further delay lets begin

1. Removing our makeup
This is the first and foremost important step in the night time skin care routine. Choose a makeup remover which suits your skin type.

2. Cleanse your Face 
Cleanse you face thoroughly specially if you have used oil based makeup remover so that it will remove any oil residue left on your skin. 

3. Exfoliate your Skin
We do not  need to exfoliate our skin daily. We can exfoliate our skin for maximum 2-3 times a week that too using gentle exfoliator. 

4. Toner
It shrinks our pores, maintains PH balance and refreshes our skin. Add toner in your daily regimen and never forget to use toner after exfoliating your skin as exfoliation opens our pores. 

5. Night Moisturizer 
Night moisturizer would be little heavy than your day moisturizer so that it provide required moisturizer required by our body and will fill in any deficiency which our skin had throughout the day.

6. Moisturizing Face Mask
Twice in a week you can skip your daily moisturizer instead you can moisturizing face mask available online. I love love love The face Shop moisturizer I got from Nykaa.

8. Eye Cream
Do not forget to apply an eye cream or an eye serum specially if you suffer with problems like dark circles or puffiness of the eyes. 

9. Lip Balm
And how can we forget our beautiful and lovely lips. Besides applying lip balm daily you can also exfoliate your lips (I like to mix honey and sugar to exfoliate my lips).

Something Extra: once or twice a week you can also use a face pack and I swear by home made pack however you can use any face pack as per your skin type.
